Parasites

Parasites a 20th Century Problem
Chances are that a lot of people reading this article are playing host to a few of them. The odds are that most of you (and your children) are infected.

What are parasites
A parasite is technically an organism that is receiving food and shelter at the expense of another organism, without giving anything in return.

Parasite Sources
Water - while chlorine may be effective against bacteria, it has proven ineffective against certain parasites. The only reliable way to insure that they do not end up in tap water is with filtration.

A Reverse Osmosis system can purify water by forcing it through a membrane that allows water molecules to pass through, but not most pollutants. The nice thing about it is that it leaves the trace minerals and the oxygen.

Food - parasite cysts that remain in inadequately washed fruits, vegetables and meat are a common source of infection. A good practice is to soak all produce and chicken for at least ten minutes in a solution. Fill the sink with water, add one to two teaspoons of hydrogen peroxide. Then give a five minute cold water rinse.

Pets - with the close familial relationships many of us establish with our pets, it is not surprising that many of us get infections. Humans can become infected with animal parasites through contact with contaminated feces, animal fur that may carry eggs or cysts, infected fleas or mosquitoes. We also have to look at the positive side of owning a pet. They are very good companions, man's best friend, children love them and they have been proven to be a good form of therapy for mature people, so let's enjoy them.

What to do to protect your pets?

There is a very simple solution. Use on a regular basis one capsule of black walnut and one capsule of garlic to prevent the development of eggs or worms which may be present in the intestinal tract. For fleas garlic will also help, and mix 5 drops of Tea Tree Oil with 1 ounce of olive oil. Using a coat brush, brush the animal as close to the skin as possible. Do not use too much of the mixture on the brush, the coat must not get greasy.   You can also use aany of the Parasite Programs for your Pet.

Global Travel
Do not drink the water and take preventative herbs two weeks before leaving to boost your immune system.

Contaminated Soil

Sadly enough today there is a lot of contaminated soil, but it is up to us to protect ourselves by boosting our immune systems.

The Atmosphere
It is possible to acquire parasites from the atmosphere simply by breathing. Again it is our responsibility to protect ourselves, by cultivating healthy immune systems, through the use of proper nutrition, rest, diet and supplements.

Dangerous Effects

The longer that parasites are in the body, the more cumulative the damage becomes. The gastrointestinal mucosa surface may become damaged. Excessive mucus is produced to protect the intestinal cells, leading to malabsorption of vital nutrients.

They may penetrate the body through the skin, which will produce itchy patches of skin, pimples, and blisters. They can pass through the liver and lungs and create severe tissue irritation and allergic reactions. They may enter the muscles and create an arthritic reaction.

They destroy cells faster than the cells can be regenerated and they depress the immune system functions.

Other Symptoms
Other symptoms may be: constipation, diarrhea, gas and bloating, irritable bowel syndrome, joint and muscle aches, anemia, allergies, nervousness, sleep disturbances, teeth grinding, chronic fatigue, abdominal pain and c.

Prevention

  • Wash your hands often during the day especially after petting or handling the animals.
  • Wash all fruits vegetables and poultry in the solution provided in this article.
  • Have a regular check up for parasites at least three times a year. (I use Kinesiologic to test, it is quick, accurate and painless).
  • Do at least 2 to 3 cleansings a year.
  • Do not eat raw meat or fish they may be loaded with parasites.
  • Use a seperate cutting board and utensils for meat and vegetables

What to do?
There are strong medications available through your physician, however they are not without side effects.

A Natural Plant-Based Therapy Is Best

To approach the problem of parasites naturally, there are many steps you can take:

  • Use bulking agents such as Psyllium
  • Change your diet to lower carbohydrates (favorite parasite food) increasing your protein levels to obtain a balance of both.
  • Eat food known to have anti-parasitic activity such as garlic, onions, pumpkin seeds, cranberry juice and carrots.
  • Use herbs such as elecampagne root, mugwort herb, spearmint, tumeric root, ginger root, garlic bulb, clove, flower bulb, wormwood herb, St-John wort, black walnut, and slippery elm.
  • Take Acidophilus on a regular basis as maintenance.
  • Take capsules of garlic and pumpkin seed daily.
  • Remember that parasites are one of the primary underlying causes of disease and are the most basic cause of compromised immune systems.
  • Sharing your food with unwelcome visitors is not very healthy.
